
At Apple, Twerdahl reports to Greg Joswiak, vice president in charge of marketing for the iPhone, according to a person familiar with the matter. Twerdahl replaces Pete Distad, who will switch to leading Apple’s content deal efforts. Distad joined Apple in 2013 after serving as a senior vice president of content distribution at video streaming service Hulu.
Prior to his time at Amazon, Twerdahl was an executive at Netflix and later a vice president in charge of consumer devices at Roku.
