Apple's iPhone 11 overtook the iPhone XR to become the most popular smartphone worldwide in Q1, according to new research from Omdia.

The Omdia Smartphone Model Market Tracker report shows that Apple shipped 19.5 million iPhone 11s worldwide in Q1 2020. Despite the impact of coronavirus on consumer demand, iPhone 11 shipments in Q1 2020 exceeded total iPhone XR shipments in Q1 2019 by almost 6 million units.
