Smartphone market contracts 7% in 2020, Xiaomi gains most market share

The global smartphone market grew 4.7 percent to shipments of 381.1 million units in Q4 2020, according to data from Omdia. This was the first annual market growth since Q3 2019. Over the full year 2020, shipments fell an estimated 6.7 percent to 1.294 billion units, following the depressed first half of the year.
