Apple iPhone 7 already best-selling phone in US, UK

Apple's new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models have quickly become the best-selling smartphones in the US and UK, accounting for 17.1 percent and 15.1 percent of the respective markets in September, according to the latest smartphone sales data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. In fact, strong sales of the iPhone 7 and the lower-priced iPhone 6s contributed to a 5.2 percent US market share increase for iOS to 34.2 percent in the third quarter of 2016, while Android's share fell 3.3 percent to 63.4 percent, affected in part by Samsung's decline from 36.9 percent to 33.8 percent.
