Apple launches 'Apps for Earth' campaign with WWF

Friday 15 April 2016 | 10:11 CET | News
Apple has launched the "Apps for Earth" campaign, running through 24 April, to donate 100 percent of the proceeds from participating apps in the App store to environmental NGO WWF. A total of 27 apps, including SimCity BuildIt, Jurassic World: The Game, and Angry Birds 2, have added environmental content. The donated money will come from the buying the apps themselves or in-app purchases of content specifically added for the campaign marking Earth Day, 22 April.
