Apple looks at up to 6-inch screen for iPhone - report

Apple has begun evaluating a plan to offer iPhones with screens ranging from 4.8 inches to as high as 6 inches, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. That compares to a 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5 released last year. Component suppliers said Apple had begun testing larger screens for iPhones in recent months. Apple has been particularly interested in recent tests for a 4.8-inch screen, the sources said. These are not expected to be discussed at the company's event scheduled 10 September.
