Apple loses request for review of patent award to VirnetX

The US Supreme Court has rejected Apple's petition for the court to review the company's appeal against VirnetX, denied by a US appeals court in February. Apple lost the suit in 2018 and another appeal in November 2019. The underlying judgement in the case had awarded VirnetX a total of USD 439 million in damages, fees and interest.
