Apple may release Chromecast-style TV dongle – report

Apple is considering the launch of a low-priced Apple TV dongle along the lines of Google's Chromecast, Roku's Streaming Stick and Amazon's Fire Stick, according to unnamed sources cited by The Information. The idea is to make the company's upcoming video streaming service available to a larger potential audience via a dongle that plugs into the back of TV sets and costs far less than the USD 149 RRP of the Apple TV device.
