Apple Music agrees to pay artists during free trial period

Apple has reversed a policy for its upcoming Apple Music streaming service after singer Taylor Swift said she would not allow the company to stream her album 1989 because it did not plan to remunerate artists for tracks listened to during a 3-month trial period. BBC News writes that Swift had called the approach unfair, saying "Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing. We don't ask you for free iPhones.
