Apple Music tops 10 mln paid subscribers - report
Apple Music has passed 10 million paid subscribers, six months after its launch, people familiar with the matter told the Financial Times. The service launched in over 100 countries last June and Apple said in October that it had 6.5 million paying subscribers. The company offers the first three months of the service free. 

Apple Music is still smaller than Spotify, which claimed last June over 20 million paid subscribers. Deezer counts around 6.5 million paying customers.

Apple Music has passed 20 million paid subscribers, up from the 17 million last reported in September. Apple agrees exclusive content from Taylor Swift

Apple has agreed an exclusive content deal with the singer Taylor Swift., Re/code reports. As a result, Apple Music subscribers (paid and free) will have exclusive access to a concert video of Swift launching 20 December. Apple will also be able to use Swift's name and likeness in promotions at its stores, where it will have big displays as well as Taylor Swift-branded iTunes gift cards for sales. Apple Music launching public beta with Sonos

Apple Music will be available in public beta on Sonos starting 15 December. Listeners will be able to stream music, using Apple's New, Radio, For You and My Music features through Sonos smart speakers tuned for optimal sound in any room. Apple Music launches on Android

Apple has launched an Android app for its Apple Music service. The app has much of the same features as the iOS app, except it misses the option for a family subscription. The beta version also does not offer music videos. The same as with the launch of the iOS service, the Android app comes with a free trial period of three months for the service. The app works on devices running Android 4.3 or higher.

Apple has signed up 11 million customers to try its streaming music service launched a month ago. Spotify says it currently has 20 million paid subscribers, and another 55 million who use a free version of the streaming music service, Recode reported.
