Apple sells 3 mln iPad 3 in first weekend
Apple said it sold 3 million units of the new iPad 3 in the first three days since its launch on 16 March. This is the strongest launch yet for an iPad, the company said. The iPad 3 was first launched in 11 countries, including the US, UK and Japan, and will be available in another 24 countries from 23 March. Prices start at USD 499 for the Wi-Fi model with 16GB storage.

iPad 3 to go on sale in Greece at EUR 509

iSquare, the authorised distributor of Apple equipment for Greece, has announced that the new iPad 3 will be available on the Greek market on 23 March. It will be available in black and white and will be equipped with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+4G and will have 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB memory options. Apple confirms plans for dividend, share buyback

Apple announced plans to start paying shareholders dividends and spend up to USD 10 billion on a share buyback. Apple said it will start paying a quarterly dividend of USD 2.65 per share sometime in its fiscal fourth quarter, which starts on 01 July. Apple sells out pre-order iPad 3

Apple has quickly sold out of the iPad 3 and pushed back the date of delivery for the first devices. The iPad 3 went on pre-sale in the US, but the company said the devices set aside for pre-orders have already run out. It originally offered pre-order customers delivery on the first day of release, 16 March, but its site now says delivery will only take place three days later, on 19 March. Apple to start selling iPad 3 on 16 March

Apple has unveiled its new iPad 3. The new tablet PC runs on iOS 5.1, features a new Retina display, is equipped with the company's A5X chip with quad-core graphics, and a 5 megapixel iSight camera. The iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G connects to HSPA+, DC-HSDPA, and LTE networks.
