
Apple has unveiled its new iPad 3. The new tablet PC runs on iOS 5.1, features a new Retina display, is equipped with the company's A5X chip with quad-core graphics, and a 5 megapixel iSight camera. The iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G connects to HSPA+, DC-HSDPA, and LTE networks. The tablet also comes with Personal Hotspot to share the network connection with up to five other devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or USB. The device is available in the US and a number of other countries from 16 March.
The new iPad Wi-Fi models will be available in the US for a suggested retail price of USD 499 for the 16 GB model, USD 599 for the 32 GB model, and USD 699 for the 64 GB model. iPad Wi-Fi + 4G will be available for a suggested retail price of USD 629 for the 16 GB model, USD 729 for the 32 GB model, and USD 829 for the 64 GB model. The new iPad will also be available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands on 16 March. Furthermore, the iPad 2 prices have been lowered, starting at USD 399.
