Apple shareholders veto resolution to open up on Chinese app removals

Apple shareholders rejected a proposal to require the company's board to report annually on how it upholds freedom of expression and access to information. The corporate governance group SumofUs had secured the proposal on the annual shareholders meeting agenda, but only 40.6 percent of Apple shareholders supported the plan.
