Apple shipped 63% of all smartwatches in Q4 - study

Apple shipped over 63 percent of all smartwatches in the fourth quarter, with Samsung trailing with 98 percent, according to the latest study from Strategy Analytics. All other manufacturers shared the remaining 26.8 percent. Combined together, Apple and Samsung now account for 3 in 4 of all smartwatches shipped globally, way ahead of rivals such as Garmin, Fitbit and Huawei. Global smartwatch shipments grew 1 percent from the year before to a record 8.2 million units in Q4.
