Apple to send threat notifications to users targeted by state-sponsored attackers

Thursday 25 November 2021 | 08:42 CET | News
Apple said it will start notifying users targeted by state-sponsored cyber-attacks. The company said it will do this by displaying a Threat Notification at the top of the page after the user signs into appleid.apple.com, and by sending an email and iMessage notification to the email addresses and phone numbers associated with the user's Apple ID. These notifications provide additional steps that notified users can take to help protect their devices.
