Arab regulators agree common positions for WRC

The 20th meeting of the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG) was held in Rabat, Morocco, hosted by regulator Anrt. Attendees discussed the 470-862 MHz broadcasting agreement of 2006. Under a new structure, broadcasters will be able to transmit four to six channels over a single 8 MHz multiplex. The meeting also addressed cross-border spectrum coordination within the Middle East and in frontier areas with Europe, Asia and Africa.
