Arbitration court rules in favour of Vodafone in EUR 3 billion tax dispute in India

Vodafone has won its battle with the Indian tax authorities which argued that the telecoms operator should pay around EUR 3 billion in back taxes and penalties related to its 2007 acquisition of local operator Hutchison Essar, Financial Times reports. An international arbitration court ruled in favor of Vodafone in the dispute with Indian tax authorities.
