Arcep adopts new rules to measure quality of fixed services

Thursday 13 April 2017 | 11:45 CET | News
French regulator Arcep confirmed the formal adoption of new rules (Decision 2017-0126) modifying the way the quality of service (QoS) for fixed internet and telephone services is measured. In particular, the regulator has decided to stop tests performed in a controlled environment, replacing them with a methodology based on crowdsourcing tools to reflect users' experience.
