Arcep hails positive year for 'roam like home' regulation

Friday 15 June 2018 | 14:26 CET | News
French regulator Arcep marked the first anniversary of the 'roam like home' regime with a positive statement on its implementation and effects on consumer behaviour. The number of complaints from end-users has remained low, while the usage of roaming services has increased significantly. Call minutes and SMS volumes from French consumers travelling within the EU increased by approximately 40 percent from the second half of 2016 to the second half of 2017, while data usage recorded a four-fold rise over the same period.
