Arcep to co-manage 700 MHz band until 2019

The French prime minister's office has published a decree modifying the spectrum landscape to allow for the 700 MHz band, currently only used for TV broadcasing, to be used for telecom services. From the start of December this year, the 703-733 MHz and 758-788 MHz bands, until now exclusively administrated by media regulator CSA, will also be overseen by telecom regulator Arcep. The 703-733 MHz block will be used for mobile phone uplink and the 758-788 MHz block for mobile downlink. From 1 July 2019, Arcep will be the only regulator in charge of the 700 MHz blocks for mobile broadband and TV
