Argentina connects to Brazil-Uruguay Tannat cable

Argentina's communications regulator Enacom has announced the installation of the Tannat (Brazil-Uruguay) cable in the town of Las Toninas in the Buenos Aires province. The watchdog approved the local landing point earlier this year, paving the way for Argentina's first digital gateway to the US via the international subsea cable system co-owned by Google and Uruguayan operator Antel.
