Argentina has announced a 180-day extension to the deadline for the publication of the long-awaited new communications law, reports Telesemana, citing an entry in the country's official gazette. In March, the government set up a special commission to draft the new law headed by Silvana Myriam Giudici, a member of president Mauricio Macri's Pro party and a director of communications watchdog Enacom. The draft of the new Broadcast Media and Telecommunications Law was set to have been published by October but will now be delayed until the first quarter of 2017, said the report.
