Argentina's Catel to launch Imowi MVNO in H1

Friday 20 November 2020 | 10:54 CET | News
Argentina's Camara de Cooperativas de Telecomunicaciones (Catel) has confirmed plans to launch its long-delayed MVNO service in the first half of 2021. The operator dubbed Imowi will initially provide services on Telefonica's Movistar network in Cordoba, Santa Fe, La Pampa and Buenos Aires, with La Rioja, Rio Negro and Catamarca to follow. Earlier this year, Catel said it intended to reach two million potential users across 10 provinces via the MVNO, which would allow cooperatives to offer quad-play offers in the target areas, mostly small and medium-sized towns.
