Argentina's Enacom accuses former AFSCA chief of fraud

Argentina's government has accused the former head of media watchdog AFSCA of embezzling of ARS 10 million while at the helm of the now defunct regulator. The criminal complaint against Martin Sabatella and former AFSCA director of special projects Andrea Conde was lodged by new communications regulator Enacom, which replaced AFSCA and the telecommunications watchdog AFTIC at the end of last year. In a statement, Enacom said it found a number of irregularities in the allocation of taxes raised for special projects and that it was asking the federal court to thoroughly investigate the
