Arm introduces Cortex-M55, Ethos NPU to bring machine learning to more devices

Arm announced new products designed to bring artificial intelligence to new types of tiny sensors. The portfolio additions include new machine learning IP, the Arm Cortex-M55 processor and Arm Ethos-U55 NPU, a micro neural processing unit for the Cortex-M platform for microcontrollers. The new IP and supporting unified toolchain enable AI hardware and software developers with more ways to bring on-device machine learning processing to tiny IoT and embedded devices.
