ARM launches new chip with built-in IoT security

ARM has announced the launch of a new processor with built-in anti-tampering technology and software isolation to prevent physical threats against Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The company's new Cortex-M35P processor is designed to bring smartcard levels of security to emerging applications such as door locks as well as automotive and smart metering devices. The aim is to protect systems at the silicon level against physical attacks, including direct contact with or close proximity to a device's system-on-a-chip (SoC).
