A spokesman for Altice told La Tribune that Armando Pereira will take on the role of SFR deputy CEO "for the coming months", in charge of the telecom business. The statement came in response to an article from the newspaper casting doubt on the future of Michel Combes as SFR CEO, following the resignation of Michel Paulin earlier this month. The spokesman denied the content of the article, stating that Combes will remain at the helm and that Pereira will be part of his executive team alongside Alain Weill, responsible for SFR's media activities.
A close associate of Patrick Drahi and a historical shareholder of Altice, Pereira has been part of Altice’s advisory board since February. He was previously chairman of Altice's subsidiary PT Portugal.
