Japanese communications provider Softbank has helped to boost the UK workforce of ARM Holdings by 24 percent in the 12 months since it acquired the chipmaker, according to SoftBank figures cited by the Financial Times. The total number of ARM's UK-based employees increased to 2,173 in September from 1,749 the year earlier, with Arm also expanding its non-UK workforce to 3,330 from 2,651 in the same period.
