Arris-Pace deal "strategic", not unpatriotic - CEO

The acquisition of UK set-top box maker Pacer by US network and video-systems maker Arris has been defended as "strategic" by the US company's CEO, Bob Stanzione amid concerns about the tax-cutting implications of the USD 2.1 billion deal. The transaction will result in the formation of New Arris, which will be incorporated in the UK, although its operational and worldwide headquarters will be in Suwanee, Georgia.
