Arris revenues fall 13% in Q3

Arris reported a drop in third-quarter revenues of 13.1 percent to USD 1.221 billion, in line with its guidance. The company blamed the weak result on a high number of new products in the year-earlier period, as well as continued weak spending by telecom operators, industry consolidation and the stronger US dollar. Adjusted net profit dropped to USD 0.56 per share from USD 0.81 a year ago, and the reported result fell to USD 0.18 per share from USD 0.37, also in line with the company's outlook.
