Aspider obtains separate MNC for virtual network

Dutch regulator ACM has given a new mobile network code to MVNE Aspider according to an appeal decision. Aspider gave its previous MNC, number 23, to Wyless Nederland and subsequently requested a new one from the regulator. The ACM originally rejected the request, as Aspider's virtual network was not considered unique - it's already identified by Wyless. Aspider appealed, saying that a virtual network also meets the legal criteria and is sufficiently unique to have its own MNC, noting the advance of NFV means networks can exist without physical equipment.
