ASSOCIATED NEWSPAPERS/SELECTV WIN CABLE TV CONTRACT
Associated Newspapers and SelecTV have been confirmed by the London Interconnect Group, cable television consortium, as the two companies which have been chosen to launch Channel One, a cable television channel for London, UK. The new channel will be launched in April 1994 and is expected to broadcast news, sports and entertainment programmes which have been specially tailored for a London audience.
