AstaZero gets 5G test permit for driverless car technology

Swedish postal and telecoms regulator PTS said it has granted the company AstaZero a permit to use 5G frequencies on a test basis for traffic safety applications. It can use 200 MHz in the 3.4-3.6 GHz band for driverless cars and other traffic applications from 01 January 2018 until 31 December 2019. Boras-based AstaZero belongs to the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) and Chalmers University of Technology.
