Asus sales fall in Q2, forecasts sequential growth in Q3

Asus reported a fall in revenues in the second quarter to TWD 93.94 billion, down 5 percent from a year earlier and 15 percent less than in the first quarter. The company did not provide a breakdown of product or unit sales for the period. Asus maintained its gross margin at 13.4 percent, in line with Q1, while the operating margin fell to 4.0 percent from 4.3 percent in Q1, at the low end of the company's forecast. Net profit was down 11 percent year-on-year at TWD 4.13 billion. Asus forecast a recovery in Q3, with PC, mobile and components revenue all expected to grow around 10-15 percent
