Asus to unveil AR device at next CES

Thursday 2 June 2016 | 14:10 CET | News
Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Asus will unveil an AR device at the 2017 edition of the CES tech event in Las Vegas, writes Cnet citing CEO Jerry Shen. Shen spoke with Cnet at Computex in Taipei. The device is ready to be released but was being put on hold at the request of a "very big player," Asus' CEO said. The product may be similar to Microsoft's HoloLens headset and Redmond is possibly behind the request, analysts said. Asus also said that it will launch a VR product alongside its AR product. At Computex, Asus unveiled the company's first home robot, Zenbo, and new mobile products.
