AT&T-backed Fullscreen launches SVoD service

AT&T will co-produce premium content for the new YouTube creative network, Fullscreen. The programming will be used for the Fullscreen SVoD service and will feature as a programming block on its Audience Network channel for DirecTV and U-verse TV subscribers. AT&T said it will collaborate with Fullscreen to market and promote the new service with special offers for AT&T’s over 100 million video, mobile and broadband customers.

Fullscreen targets under-30s with a USD 4.99 a month, ad-free video service launching on 26 April with over 800 hours of content, including feature films, TV series and original content from online stars. The company was bought by Otter Media, a joint venture between AT&T and Chernin Group, in September 2014.
