The YouTube creative network Fullscreen is launching its own subscription video service for USD 4.99 per month. Targeting under-30s, the ad-free video service will offer a blend of original and licensed content from 26 April.
To start, it will have more than 800 hours of content, including feature-length movies and series and original content from online stars. It will be available on the web, Android and Apple mobile devices and over Chromecast, with more devices to follow. Fullscreen will sell worldwide for the same price, with only a small variation in content per country.
Fullscreen's shareholder AT&T will market the SVOD service to its over 100 million customers and co-produce content with Fullscreen that will be distributed on DirecTV, U-verse and the Fullscreen service. Fullscreen is owned by Otter Media, a joint venture between AT&T and Chernin Group.
