Friday 24 January 2020 | 09:32 CET | News
French-based broadcast equipment company Ateme has been awarded a grant for the IA4SEC project, which will enable its teams to develop improved video coding using artificial intelligence. The funding comes from the i-Nov Innovation Contest within the PIA (Programme d'Investissements d'Avenir) programme, which has been set up by the French government to support innovative projects, in collaboration with state-owned bank Bpifrance. Ateme said that IA4SEC will aim to enhance video delivery focusing on a number of areas, including content-adaptive encoding and video encoding orchestration.
