AU objects to DotConnectAfrica's .africa application

The African Union Commission and sixteen African countries have registered their opposition an application for the .africa top-level domain submitted to ICANN by Kenyan company DotConnectAfrica trust (DCA). The African Union Commission is backing the application for .africa made by another firm, UniForum, which trades as ZA Central Registry.
