Australia consults on changes to international mobile roaming regulations

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has released a discussion paper seeking comments on proposed changes to the regulation of international mobile roaming (IMR) services, including a draft Service Provider Determination that is proposed to replace an existing industry Standard. To support the change from a Standard to a Service Provider Determination, a draft Ministerial Direction (and accompanying Explanatory Statement) to revoke the Standard has also been prepared by the Department of Communications and the Arts and approved for joint consultation by the Minister for
