Australia increases bidding limits for upcoming low-band spectrum auction

Optus has welcomed the announcement by Paul Fletcher, Australia's Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, on bidding limits for the low-band spectrum auction to be held later this year. Optus reports that the minister's decision sets the scene to ensure no one operator can own more than 40 percent in the majority of Australia and 45 percent in remote locations.
