Australia LTE networks average 21 Mbps

Australia dropped one place in worldwide LTE coverage in the third quarter and retained the same ranking for speed, according to the latest Open Signal report. The report shows availability of 77 percent for Vodafone's 4G network, 76 percent for Telstra and 70 percent at Optus. Open Signal calculates coverage by taking a reading from devices every 10 to 15 minutes to see whether they are connected to a 2G, 3G or 4G network. Australia is positioned 14th in global 4G coverage, at an average 74 percent. Telstra, Vodafone and Optus were ranked 29th, 34th and 52nd places worldwide respectively. In
