Australia tops 21 million smartphones in use, up 390% in 10-year period

Australia has reached 21.6 million smartphones now in use (up from 4.4 million in 2010). The decade from 2010 to 2020 witnessed the most rapid technology change in Australia's history, according to a report from Telsyte. The number of internet connected devices in Australian homes grew 6-fold, from less than 35 million in 2010 to 193 million in 2020 and smartphone use jumped 390 percent from 4.4 million in 2010 to 21.6 million in 2020.
