Australian court blocks sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Apple has won another temporary injunction blocking sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, this time in Australia, reports the Financial Times. Justice Annabelle Bennett in the Federal Court issued the temporary injunction to delay the launch of the iPad rival in Australia. Apple claims that Samsung's tablet infringes its design and technology patents. Samsung and Apple are involved in around 20 legal disputes over patents in nine countries worldwide, including the UK, US, Japan and South Korea. Meanwhile, Samsung said that it planned to launch revised versions of three Galaxy smartphones in the Netherlands to circumvent a temporary sales ban on these smartphones there. In August, a Dutch court blocked sales of the Galaxy S, Galaxy S11 and Ace smartphones in the Netherlands for infringing Apple patents. Samsung said that it had now tweaked technology for browsing or scrolling through photos on the devices and would soon launched upgraded versions in the Netherlands.
