Australian smartphone market down 6% in H1 on wait for 5G phones, new iPhones

Just over 4 million smartphones were sold in Australia in the first half of 2019, down 6 percent from a year earlier, according to Telesyte. The market researcher found some consumers are holding off buying a new phone in order to get a 5G device or a new iPhone.
