Australian smartphone market drops more than 7% in 2020, slightly recovers in Q4

Australia's smartphone market saw a 7.3 percent year-on-year decline in shipments in 2020, according to a report from International Data Corporation (IDC). Smartphone shipments to Australia fell to 7.5 million in 2020, from 8.1 million in 2019. The study also shows that Australia's smartphone market's performance varied by quarter, impacted by COVID-19 and the measures put into place to contain the spread of the virus.
