Austrian digital tax control based on IP address raises privacy concerns

The introduction of the digital tax for internet giants, planned by the Austrian government under the leadership of the parties OVP and FPO, raises privacy concerns expressed by the Austrian ISP association ISPA, which has been joined in its criticism by the parties SPO and NEOS, reported Die Presse. The reason is that the draft legislation assumes the digital tax control would be based on IP addresses.
