Austrian mobile prices decrease in Q1, due to HoT - RTR

The Austrian mobile prices have dropped since the entrance of discount MVNO HoT in January of this year, according to Austrian telecommunications regulator RTR in the quarterly market monitor for the fourth quarter of 2014. The mobile price index in the monitor runs until March of this year and shows that existing discount brands Yess!, Bob (both offered by A1) and Ge!org have reacted to HoT's entrance by lowering their fees leading to a decrease from 104.6 in December 2014 to 103.1 in March. The report further found that the Austria mobile revenues amounted to EUR 2.5 billion or around 60
