Austria has already spent EUR 204 million in subsidies to support broadband roll-out in underserved areas, reports the federal ministry for transport, innovation and technology BMVIT. In total four tenders have been completed, the last one in December 2016 with a value of EUR 23 million for the empty pipe program.
