AVoD accounts for quarter of Nordic video advertising revenue

Ad-based video on demand (AVoD) is currently capturing approximately one quarter of Nordic video advertising marketing revenue, in terms of broadcast and internet TV, according to consultancy Mediavision. Incumbent broadcasters and other traditional media companies alike have been contributing advert-funded offerings, it said. With increased freedom of choice, good content libraries and fewer minutes of advertising, the concomitant migration of consumers is likely to continue unless operators themselves decide to move in another direction, it added.
